I'm a salaried employee who should be paid for a 40 hour wk week no matter what!
Also keep in mind it was the employer who change the work schedule from 5 8 hr days to 4 10 hr days.

Of course not...your questions is insincere.

you were hired for 40 hours over 5 days which is common...you agreed to change it to 4x10 and didn't ask for overtime (because you are salaried) but you also didn't ask for a larger salary - so you agreed that you work the same as everyone else (40) so why should you get more bonus.

Holiday pay is not by any means a requirement. The average work day is eight hours. That is why they pay you for eight hours. If you requested your days to be ten hours long, then you definitely shouldn't get ten hours. Either way, you're lucky you get anything because a lot of companies don't give anything.

Yes, or for the holiday hours that you work.

However, it is traditional to only pay for 8 hours. This tradition was started long before flex time. You need to talk with your boss and explain this to him. You also need to check your contract that you signed to work on the schedule you work on or to work for the company. If that contract specifies your holiday pay rate then you need to negotiate a new contract before you can change it.

Unfortunately, no.

This happened to me on my last paycheck. Upon inquiring why I was shorted pay, my boss informed me that it is averaged out over what I worked the last 30 days. Since I had taken two days off, that cut into my average and I was paid accordingly.

I would ask , though, especially if you had no time off or sick days etc...

Sounds to me like that is a question that should have been asked when you were hired. It is probably company policy to pay the traditional 8 hrs.
