I agree with mystic, call your doctor and get it reported to VAERS, watch him closely for other reactions.

I personnally would wait a little but if after giving some motrin the fever still goes up I would take the baby to the hospital. But this is what I found on the internet. The doctor should have given this info to you. Read on. Most side effects are not serious. Some vaccines result in low-grade fever, rash or soreness at the injection site.
In rare cases, a child may have a serious allergic reaction to a vaccine. Signs of such a reaction include difficulty breathing, wheezing, hives, dizziness, fainting, an erratic heartbeat and weakness. This kind of reaction happens within a few minutes or a few hours after the shot. Call your health care provider right away if your child has any of these symptoms.
In very rare cases, a vaccination can cause a high fever or a seizure within a few days after the child has received the shot. Call your health care provider or go to an emergency facility right away if your child has either of these symptoms.

I work in daycare and we have had children come in who had their shots and was told running a fever was normal. Take his temperature every hour to 2 hours. Call his doctor and to see if you can give him some childrens tylenol. If his fever gets to 103.00, Yes Please take him to the hospital. I hope I was helpful. I am a mother also. I know how concerned you are.

they usually give you a sheet of paper explaining everything. But yes they sometimes do get fevers. Give him tylenol-and if it goes over 102.00 bring him to the doctors. My pediatrician's office has a 24 hour call service where they take your name and number and have a oncall doctor call you back at your house. Just Monitor him for now. try calling your doctor's office and ask them what to do-in case your that worried. Sometimes they get a rash-they all have different reactions. With my son-he sleeps alot the first day or two...
anyways goodluck!

A fever is normal. They recommended giving baby tylenol to my girl who is four months if she got a fever as it brings it down. If the fever and sleepiness is the only symptoms then I would assume its normal..but I would also be very concerned and to put your mind at ease you should mabye call the doctors office to inquire.

A fever where I live is 40'. But when my two older children had their four month old immunisation, apart from being tired and grumpy (which I think could have been from them screaming at the doctors!), they were fine.
Personally, I would ring my doctor or nurse and explain when they had their immunisation and theie temperature. Perhaps check it periodically and keep a record of it to see if it's going up. I remember being warned of a slight fever.
IF YOUR CONCERNED - RING YOUR DOCTOR OR NURSE AND ASK THEIR OPINION!!!!!!!
I gave my children panadol when they had their immunisations, as they were grizzly and couldn't tell me if they felt hot or their litte arms were sore.

A temperature, red in the place where he got his shots. Call the hospital, they will tell you it isn't a bad temp unless it reaches around102, I would call anyway, and if you still have doubts, just go to the er, First I would give him Children's Tylenol, Usually it will bring the temp down.. Good luck.

At the VERY least you should call your doctor in the morning and report a vaccine reaction and remind him/her that he/she is LEGALLY obligated to report it to VARES or your local health authority if you aren't American.
Fever is a common reaction though, particularly when you mix a bunch of shots. Keep an eye on him to make sure it doesn't go higher or cause seizures.

That is normal for a baby to run a small temp after he gets shots. Give him the recomended dosage of children's tylenol or children's motrin.
