They are trying to clean up the area, and have made some progress in the waterfront area. New (higher class, higher dollar) housing is being offered, such as the conversion of the old RCA building to condos!

There are many parts of Camden that are going to need to be torn down and totally redone, if they want to clean up the city. I do not think that they have the political will to remove the low income, high crime population, and until that is done, the city will never be clean!

But possibly. Paterson has become a lot better over the past few years. But it really depends on how much the rich people in the state are willing to shell out around April.

Probably not any time soon.Camden has the highest homocide rate in the country.It also has one of the highest crime and drug rates in the country.So no, i dont think its gonna clean up any time soon.
