If they are so close that you saw a lot of them, they probably were happy to be taken somewhat for granted. Most people get a bit nervous when exalted to pedestal status. It's too easy to fall. If you appreciate a person, just say so, and thank God for them having been there.

if they left i would tell myself to learn from it and that life is full of opportunities i would always remember that someone and learn what they taught me. for example if they taught me courage, when time in need of courage, i will remember that person and courage would fulfill me. Also when another person comes around i will enjoy the person much more than before.
