I know its incredibly hard work and im afraid i will go through years of schooling then not make it into medical school. anyways what should i do now to get ready for college then med school then residency ect. I was going to get a bna(nursing assistant), is that a good idea or not? also what else should i do? major in ect?

Talk to 2 people - your guidance counselor (who gets paid, with your parents' tax dollars, to answer exactly what you're asking here) and your family doctor or pediatrician. Your family doctor has "been there, done that" and can advise you accordingly. Make a list of some questions to ask him/her next time you go for a visit.

bna might be a good backup plan but I would think it will make your schooling longer and cash less if you want to become a doctor. Another thing to consider is that most doctors don't get paid near as much as they used to.

take it a year at a time. I have seen so many people change their interests in college or just straight up drop out because they couldn't do it or it was not for them.
