What about taking another approach? It's soooo easy to appeal to emotions with something like this, so why not ask "How much would America save if women have yearly mammagrams?" Then go through how breast cancer, caught early, has a much lower death toll and will cost insurance payers much less money. It's IMPLIED that breast cancer is emotional and that detecting breast cancer would save lives, but what about the people who say "it won't happen to me?" This brings the issue to the forefront where it affects every single taxpayer in a sensitive way, their finances.

Do it on how breast cancer has impacted men, both as victims of breast cancer and as having to deal with their loved ones being victims. It's a very under-reported part of breast cancer.

Ask...Do you know how many people lost a loved one to breast cancer last year? ...You can research the statistics of deaths related to breast cancer and then say how women who die of breast cancer are moms, friends, sisters, aunts, nieces etc. --their lives have touched so many....this is the true impact of breast cancer in our lives!
