I have heard of people wearing corset and losing some waist inches over a period of time. I have thoughts of wearing one but they are mostly sold in those lingerie stores. How many types of corsets are there? And how tight should they be around the body?

Men can wear a corset, and many do. You would be best to contact a higher scale langerie company and have one custom made or check out their selection of mens corsets. Nordstroms may be able to help you there.

Another option is the zipper corset. You can find them at places like Sears in the weight training department. It's like a corset but it has zippers on it that you use to get it tighter. It's more masculine and designed for men.

Yup, guys can, and do wear corsets. Most of them are custom-made, and are much rarer to find than female corsets. I’ve got one, and can tell you they are expensive, but worth it.
The shape is different, whereas female corsets accentuates hips and curves, male corsets is more to give a "V" shape.
They are great fun, though avoid when the weather turns hot! :-).

That's certainly one option, but not the healthy one.

There's only one good way to lose weight -- eat right and exercise. Try rockclimbing. You need a partner for that, and once you get one, you feel compelled to keep going cause you don't want to let them down.
