Some new people moved in down the street. I am a stay at home mom and so is she. We have become friends. I feel a vibe from her husband I am not comfortable with. I called their house today to see if she wanted my son and I to come over and visit. Our sons are the same age. The husband answered and said they were not home but that I could come on over. That seemed very peculiar to me. I told my husband about it and he said to stay the hell away from that guy. Problem is they are coming over for dinner tomorrow. I could have taken it the wrong way but in my world men do not invite women over when their wives are not home. What do you think? Of course I made up an excuse no to go.

I agree with your husband, stay away from him. The guy sounds pretty weird, because men don't usually invite over other females if he is married and his wife and child isn't home. He gives me the creeps, and I don't know him. Only go other there with your child, if the wife and the child is at home. It is better to be safe then sorry. Just trust your instinct and first impression because they are usually right.

Sounds like you made the right choice. I would only go around when she is home and not be alone with her husband ever. You may be wrong in the long run but being as they just moved in I would wait till I knew them much better. It may be nothing but ya never know, just remember most rape victims know their attacker.
