I think you're talking about the weather.. the forecasts seem to be quite varied. As I write this (11pm CHI), it's a very light rain but not freezing yet.

Snow is part of the forecast through Tuesday, so it's the ice she needs to avoid. Weather.com seems to give Saturday the best forecast, as it just says Flurries, where as the other days are showing "wintry mix" and "snow showers".

It's travelling from SW to NE, so I'm guessing her route will not be affected until she's actually within city limits.

Be safe!!

When I travel through Chicago I try to go through after 9pm. I make the trip about twice a year. Make sure she plans her travel to be getting to Chicago at least two hours after dinner time. Let her know to keep it very close to speed limit by Sparta and Toma Wi. Also, on less you are on the far east side of Chicago she should stay on I-90. I- 94 goes through Milwaukee and takes more time. Also, if she plans to stop to eat exit 126 (just north of Madison) has some good options for food, and it is easy to get back on the Interstate. As far as the day of the week, Saturday or Monday would be best. Sunday night there is a lot of traffic heading south.
