my professor said it was already accomplished in Australia. is it true? do you know any details of this event? could you tell me where you read/heard about it? also, include the URL where i can find info on this in the net. thanks in advance!

Physicists in Germany (I'm pretty sure it was Germany) teleported light, and a few atoms of something, I think. But not anything bigger yet. Try Physics Today or a preprint archive.

I don't think it's possible with current technology the way Jeff Goldblum in the movie "the fly" teleported himself from one teleportation pod to the other. But I am determined to make one myself if nobody else will. I am tired of wasting my precious time stuck in traffic or taking 12 hour plane ride to goto another country. My trip from New York to LA should only take 5seconds, not rediculously long 5 hours!

The third is Caltech and they did it and refer to the IBM Research Team in the first link.
This not what we would think, but, it is a step in that direction. First link is very interesting to read.
