What I mean is that- do you think that some people just want to go to a college because it is a well known name.

Absolutely. But you have to know that, depending on what you want to do in life, where you go to school can make a difference. Harvard, Princeton, these places can make a difference between good job or great job.

I went to a university and I went to a voc tech college and a trade school. I have obviously more than one degree. But my point is the university was a joke in my opinion. It took so much longer because I had to take more English, and math then I really needed just to full fill school obligation, and it cost a lot more. Voc tech cost much less but I still had to take some classes I didn't think were necessary. Finally when I went to trade school I was made to take only the classes I needed to form that particular job, no extra English or anything else.

yes - who wouldn't want to go to a well known college? It would practically guarantee employment when you graduate.
