You might as well have a pet pair of shoes or a pet jacket. Why bother? Now I will have to let you go, my pet keyboard needs more attention.

umm......lol no because wats the whole point of having a pet thats a rock....u cant even feed it or take care of it or do anything with it.....
wana know how i know?
well it all started when i was 11...i really wanted a pet so i had a a pet rock....evryday i wuld visit it and for some dumb reason teach it to do tricks "i was stupid that day, wasnt thinking.)

I think there are other immobile items that would be better than a rock. For instance a doll or something that looks like a person or an animal. At least there is some form to it.

wow a pet rock think of all the fun you could have with a pet rock, you never have to feed it or take it to the vet you just sit there and watch it

think about it kid it never does anything calling it your pet won't make suddleny move, the rocks I've gotten from a gem and fossil show have been sitting on my shelf for 2 years and have done nothing but collect dust now and then.

Yeah. You should also have a pointless pet like a pet bed or a pet stuffed animal.

the care and maintenance for a pet rock are extensive and exhausting. but if you have enough time for that kind of a commitment a pet rock could be right up your alley.

once i picked up a rock put a face on it abd pretended it was my pet it was pretty boring so no its not worth having

Once I bought one and it bit me... Lol jokes. No but I do have a few "nice" looking rocks but I put them in a vase-like glass and put a candle in the middle and it ROCKs :P Have fun

Hell no. Do not waste your money. It is a friggin rock! go buy soemthing useful. You know what would be betetr than a pet rock... paying someone to throw a rock at your head, at least that would be fun for somebody.

If it means something to you, then yes...i have quite a few rocks that i have kept because they represent a special time in my life.
