You have been the primary caregiver in your sons live, he is a loser and if he would dare to contact you, you can put him back to jail for non support. If I were you I would make sure he understands, that he will owe you eight years of child support and the consequences that will follow, if he does not pay. Your son is much better off and has a better chance in live not to be associated with a Felon.

Unless you had a judgement for child support he would not have to pay the back support. And since his name is not on the birth certificate all he would have to say is that he was never informed that a child existed. If he wants to see him you can try to have him declared unfit and try to have his parental rights terminated.

Since the guy just got out of jail and he's not listed on the birth certificate he won't get very far with most judges. Supervised visits is the best he can get if he decides to sue to prove paternity. Since you didn't him of the birthcertificate he owes you nothing. Besides pas payment would be decided somewhat on past income, which isn't a huge amount in jail. In answer to your final question, yes he can.

Chances are he doesn't want to pay child support, so he will stay away. But, if he wants to reform, pay child support and have visits, the court would probably allow it. A child has a right to know his father.

Chances are , you are stewing over something that will never happen. If he is already out of jail and has not tried to see him before now, i don't think you have anything to worry about.
Sleep sound, trust God.

I think maybe your best option would be to get a restraining order if you are genuinely scared of him. If he's not a danger to you or your child, maybe you should let your child have some communication with his father?

I highly doubt it, but with his past the court will always rule in the favor of the mother.
