There are several reasons a female will be late or not have a menstrual cycle. The reasons could be stress, low weight, medications, or a false negative pregnancy test, even a serious medical condition can do it. You should see a Dr. if you do not get your period in a week.

Not been eating well, too much exercise, too much stress. I was several days late, freaking out thinking I was pregnant, took a negative pregnancy test, and relaxed enough that it started the following day. If your period is late and you're testing negative you really aren't pregnant.

Stress will make you late. If your takin Birth Control certain ones have made me totaly miss my period. If you stress out about it long enough and your taking BC, by the time you get back on it you would of missed your cycle! It is ok to miss a cycle once in awhile. They have Bc out where you only get one 4x's a year and some even eliminate it.

certain medications, hormone therapy, stress, low body fat, birth control pills (obviously), and when your young and its the first year or two it'll be irregular. But then again i know some grown women who have had it irregular since they started.
If it really concerns you, see a doctor.

Well, taking medecines that are new to your body, such as antibiotics can cause that.
Also, stress is a huge contributing factor.
And, if you've recently changed your diet and/or exercise, that can also cause it.

stress is probably the number one answer to that. Also your cycle can vary from month to month, its not always going to be on time.
