I saw the musical a long time ago and dont remeber it very well I am getting the movie today and I'm going to watch it. I'm going to get the CD as well. Other than that I dont really know anything about the character except for the research I did online.

The character is likely 90 years older than you are, dating from early 20th century comic strips. He is Wealthy, and as his character you have to take on an attitude of being the RICHEST.
He seems ornary, obstinate, self absorbed, definitely self assured, intelligent, intuitive, shrewd, and possibly ruthless in a business sense. He is gruff of tone, short in the sense of measuring words.
The good news is that at some point ANNIE will dominate not only the play, but will take over the heart of Daddy W., even though initially he will struggle against letting that happen.
HE also has another interest in a woman who gains a "Crush" on him.

OKay, when playing his role, think big, busy, proud, (Bald). Daddy warbucks is a hardcore man that slowly tranforms into a loving father trying to impress his daughter. Remember this, and break a leg!

My high school did Annie and they turned the whole shaving the head into a huge publicity thing to advertise for the show. Poor guy was on the front page of the newspaper with half his head shaved!
So yea... you should shave your head. Bald caps are tacky. (not to mention uncomfortable)

I was in a play of annie, and i remember that he was very strict but at the same time soft. so dont yell too much i mean do it like you seem to but don't ...SMOOTH
