Sounds like it's time for an abortion. The sooner the better.

I am pro-life and I still shutter at the thought of any abortion, but in this case I do understand for the girls sake. At 12 a pregnancy and delivering a baby would be very difficult on her body not to mention she and the child do not need to constantly be reminded of the violent way that things came about. Plus with the incest, the baby could have some severe problems. Then again, she may grow up and live in misery thinking about the child and the life she ended and saying to herself "Today he would turn 5, today he would be 16, today he would be graduating, maybe he would be married by now with children of his own." I am certain abortion is abused left and right by women and men who want to have sex but not the responsiblity that comes with it... but as you can see I am strongly confused myself on the issues of rape, incest, and anything being seriously wrong with the child. I wouldn't scrutinize a 12 year old in that situation though.

I think the problem is that in America the number of people that are really "pro life/anti abortion" in the sense that abortion should NEVER be performed is a very small number of people, that hang out on the radical right.
Just as the number of people that support "freedom of choice" as the right to abort right up until the "baby" actually takes a breath, is also a very small percentage of the population. How many people REALLY support delivering a fully developed fetus and killing it because of a "legal technicality".
A vast majority of Americans are reasonable and believe abortion should be safe and legal in the early stages of pregnancy, but don't like seeing late term abortions unless there is a serious medical issue involved. The media just never lets these Americans have a real voice.

Let me start by saying that I am pro-choice. But I do think that the 12 year old girl should have some say in this. I don't think it's right to force her to have an abortion either. That could be equally traumatic to her. She could choose to have the baby and give it up for adoption. From a medical standpoint, I think allowing her to have the baby could be harmful to her as well. I think that I would have to talk toher doctor and listen to the pro's and cons of abortion vs. carrying to term.
By the way, I deeply hope that this is just a hypothetical.

I have talked with someone about a similar situations what if it happen to my child. I answered "It must be up to the child as hard as that may seem, her body is her own" God is a forgiving God, no sin is greater than another, We all fall short no matter the age. Prayer is the only way of knowing what to do. The young girl must decide what to do. We live in a world that is controlled by evil. We are judged by are own sin. When we make decision for others young or old we have to live with that. If she is a believer and you are two then leave the question at the foot of the cross. Every time we pray about something, every time we sincerely take something to God, God handles it, and God deals with it. Have faith.

well, the one thing that all pro-choicers seem to bring about is rape. its the number one thing i always hear........BUT RAPE AND OTHER SPECIAL CASES ARE LESS THAN ONE PERCENT OF ALL ABORTIONS. Stop avoiding the main point....that people want to have fun and have no responsibilities....play God.
well, i will answer your question: i think the exceptions should be extremely limited---basically for if the mother's life will be in danger. seeing as she is a 12 year old, the docotr should evaluate and would probably say that it could possibly risk her life or health, so ok then. but rape in general.....women can experience a tremendous amount of depression after an abortion.....how does having one, and having the possible guilt and/or depression help in an already crappy situation. It doesnt make everything all better. it doesnt change the fact that she was raped in any way.....just adds more trauma and possibilities of severe and permanent complications. there is always adoption....she doesnt have to be ''constantly reminded of her rape'' as it seems all pro-choicers like to quote.....

In my mind, abortion is never "okay." But sometimes, as in this case, it may be the best solution. I know these situations are rare, but they do occur - my sister is a school psychologist in a major metropolitan school and could tell you stories about families like this. This and a few other situations are why I believe abortion needs to remain legal.

I'm sorry I know you want to hear from pro-lifers, but I'm going to answer.
I am pro-choice, and this is the basis of our arguments. That would be horrible for anyone to go through. Similar situations happen like this every day.

God doesn't make mistakes. God, not the sicko uncle, created that baby for a reason. An easy life for the 12 year old??? No way, but her life was already the shambles. Perhaps, this baby would save her and she would go on to save thousands of other people in ways we can't even imagine. God works in mysterious ways.

No, killing an innocent human being is never "reasonable." Do you believe rapists' children should be executed after they are born? If not, why do you believe it is acceptable to kill them while they are still in the womb? Do you believe they are less worthy of life than the rest of us, because of the circumstances of their conception? Do you believe innocent people should be punished for the crimes of their fathers?
Rape is horrible. Murder is worse. Yes, it would be difficult for a child to be pregnant for nine months, but in doing so, she would prevent an innocent person from being killed. The wrongness of the assault on the girl does not make another violent assault on another innocent person right. Nine months is not a lifetime. She would survive, and indeed would be protecting herself from the physical and emotional consequences of abortion. Abortion would in no way erase the fact of the rape, but would rather be another assault on her body and the body of her child. Many women have described abortion as feeling like "surgical rape."
Please keep in mind, too, that the uncle would like nothing better than for the girl to abort and cover up the evidence of his crime. That way, he could continue his molestation undetected.
Please read these testimonies from and studies about women who conceived children in rape:

When you say "terminate a pregnancy," I hope you do realize that you are in reality talking about killing an innocent human being. This is a biological fact, and using euphemisms don't change the facts. For more information on abortion, visit http://Abort73.com

I am pro-life, and I think if someone gets pregnant because of stupidity they should be responsible and have the child and then if they don't want it, give it in adoption....
BUT in this case, it wasn't the fault of the 12 year old girl, and I would be find w/ get having an abortion...
I believe in pro-choice if the woman/girl wasn't the irresponsible, and if it wasn't her fault...
