Many people will and have said the Whale Shark, alive yes.
But in reality if you are talking about length not so much girth. It has to be the Giant Squid.

A fish called a whale shark is a true fish and is the largest in the world. Maybe up to 40 feet long though 25 feet is more common. Whales can be larger but they are mammals and not fish. Whale sharks are gentle fish that feed on krill by filtering them out of the water.
