ok I respect your choices. But now a days what does pro choice really mean? If you look at the reasons why women get abortions only about 4% are because of life threatening conditions. the only reason I am against "gay marriage" is because if we let that become legal the next thing to happen is bubba will want to marry his donkey and so on. I am so anti war I hate war more then anything. But I will defend the rights of the individual to be free with everything I have including my last breath. What would life be without freedom? I couldn't live under a dictatorship worried about, did I look at that cop wrong or is this the week that they come through my neighborhood to find young girls to rape and take our stuff and laugh at us? I am a great believer in keeping our environment as clean as possible! I am a farmer in the central valley of Ca. we grow enough food to feed the world! If it weren't for stupid regulations that make us waste so much food. I love all my animals I have 4 dogs and 3 cats a horse and 2 goats. They all have names and come tome when I call them to be petted. And I am a conservative! Imagine that!!! I don't bash liberals they have the inside track on that one. Bush is worse then hitler etc. But I don't believe that the liberal idiology is sound. It is not based in reality. sorry but I don't think the government taking most of my hard earned money in taxes to re-distribute to those who they think deserve it is right. Nor do I think cuting and running from Iraq is a good thing. I won't bash you but I will debate you with facts against your "feelings" any time. peace

Good one Stephanie!!!! I am not a liberal basher because I am a liberal progressive. I agree with most of what you said, but I guess to some degree, I am an anti-christian, upper class hating hippie! I believe that christian have just as much right to believe what they do as, anyone else has to believe something different, and I don't hate them having beliefs that I disagree with. Actually, I don't hate them at all...but I do have a problem with the attitude that many of them have, that theirs is the only true religion, and anyone who doesn't accept that, can go no where else but straight to hell, unless they repent and get saved before it is too late! Yes, I do have a problem with that attitude! Also, I am a hippy at heart, and I am proud of it! I don't hate the upper class, per say!! But, I do dislike the attitude that many of them have, that haves and have mores are superior to the rest of us, just because they have money and we don't! And many of them act as if we get only what we deserve, and so they think that since they have more, it means they deserve more. Many of them are also blind to the fact that equal opportunity is a fallacy!!!! I know that there are many kind, compassionate, evolved, and enlightened people of means, but I don't think that can be said about the majority of them.

because... people are stupid...
not so much the "basher" as much as sections of the general public that eats it up...
people like Rush and Coulter tell people that all liberals are evil blood-sucking, baby killing drug users that make millions of dollars making movies and making rap music and love terrorists...
and people actually believe it... that's the crazy thing...
some people don't get out of their own house enough to even have a clue as to what is actually going on in America and who actual liberals and conservatives are...
and it happens on both sides... but it seems that liberals bash more on individuals (Bush and friends)... while conservatives bash more on the group...
I think most liberals know that all conservatives are not crazy warmongers that bathe in the blood of Iraqi children...
sometimes I wonder how many conservatives know the truth about liberals though, that they aren't pure evil that is... some clearly do... I wonder about how many sometimes though...

If you looked you would have found dozens of "questions" attacking Conservatives. There are a lot of bashers on both sides because that's just what people do here. They can vent here without any consequences. I'm sure that most people on this board would not dare say in person what they say on line.

Have you looked around here? Liberal bashers?
The Angry Left has been bashing and raving all over Yahoo Answers!
If nothing else, other than the very extreme Conservatives, most of us can live and let live with everyone to include hippies, gays, pro-choice people and even the "pretty bad liberals" without being rude to anyone, just don't ask us to say we think it's okay for our kids to be any of those things.
The percentage of rude and obnoxious Liberals here saying vile things about Christians, Soldiers, and let's not forget the President, is much higher than the percentage of "Liberal bashers".
However, I will say that I find it embarrassing when the obnoxious minority of Conservatives say nasty things. That doesn't advance debate, and I would rather not be associated with people who behave that way.

Its not just liberal bashers, there are plenty of Conservative bashers too you know.
America is no longer about debate and discussion, it is about insults and making the bigger scene. (the Jerry Springer affect)
I can't tell you how many times i try to discuss an important topic with some one only to have them do a personal attack on me because they realized they were losing.
Now I find this is true on all sides of the political spectrum.
No one wants to have a honest debate, they want to insult the person and some how figure the person with the best insult wins the argument.
But please dont blame Conservatives alone, Many times the person I am debating is a liberal and they tend to be much more likely to attack me on personal levels.
Personally I am a moderate with Conservative leanings, I cant tell you how many times the first thing out of liberal mouths is "Your a racist!" of which i am not.
Bashers will never go away, but it is important to try and get people talking seriously and not simply resorting to childish behavior.

Due to the pull of gravity from the lunar eclipse during the last summer solstice, the warming of the polar ice caps has caused the Gulf of Mexico to increase in salinity causing indigestion in the masses wintering in Florida, which in turn has turned a normally quiet conservative state to become agitated, hence all the bashing tonight.

Sorry man, in defense for all people, hate flows from all directions in the walk of life. Be it Far-left, Far-right, Liberal, Republican, Democrat, Christian. Methodist, Islams-Muslim, how can anyone come up with a single hating group? Hate is like a blackened rose, dead, and yet hanging on to life, and many still cherish the flower, because, it is usually received by a love one, sorry. It is beyond me..take care and good life!
PS: I hope you see the metaphor in my answer and not mis-interpret it!

Because conservatives like to abuse. They even allowed a child abuser to be a Congressman. They had sex with the prisoners in Iraq and Cuba. They are abusers and bashers. The conservatives like telling people what to do. They like telling them how to live. They proclaim God loves them more than anybody else. All the while the conservatives are greedy, gay prostitute hiring, liars, cheaters, kidnappers, torturers, and killers.
That is why they bash. They are sadistic evil killers that need to be stopped.

lib·er·al (lÄb'Ér-Él, lÄb'rÉl) Pronunciation Key
adj.
Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry.
Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded.
I fail to see how describing someone as a "liberal" can possibly be an insult. Although people do that. Maybe we should tell them what liberal actually means. Thats assuming of course, they can read. Ah, now im being stereotypical...oh well, at least I can't be called a liberal now.
