My friend's sweet sixteen is next weekend and the theme is black, white and red.....but i'm not sure how to put the colors together in a classy way because i dont want to look like a mime and what do you think i should do with my hair and makeup? I have hair past the shoulders but its not very long...any advice would be great! thanks!

Well, I would try to find a dress that is white and red. Short, halter-top dresses are especially popular at these types of events. Then, I would get black accesories, like maybe a cute clutch.
If you can't go shopping and have to work with what you've got. Pick a dress that is either just red, just black or just white. Then, play around with adding the other colors in the forms of:
a belt
a thin scarf
purse
necklace, earrings, etc.
or attaching a pretty flower to the dress
For hair: it really depends on what style compliments your dress. Make sure its something that is comfortable and durable enough to last the whole night. Maybe straightening your hair, curling it, or wearing it up in a stylish ponytail or bun.
For Makeup: Create an evening look with smoky eyes and glitter. You want to make sure you stand out even on a dark dance floor

How about a Tuxedo dress. They are simple, but elegant. The bottom is black, loose, and floor length, the top is separate, white,form fitting, and usually strapless. It comes down in a V-shape at the waist.
Then you could wear an antique looking necklace and simple earings with garnet stones in it.
As for you hair: Wear it up in a French Twist, with a few wispy curls at the tape of the neck.
My daughter wore this complete outfit to her junior prom, and blew people away.

Look for a black and white dress or if you want a black dress with white accessories or a white dress with black accessories and a black nice high heels shoes or boots and a red waist belt.
And straighten your hair and do some curls. Also try a red lip color with gloss. Good luck!

Get a blck skirt thats not to short but just above the knees. Get a nice low v cut shirt with white and red and trimmed in black. it is very nice I just wore a outfit similar. Now as far as your hair I think a nice french role with either spiral curls coming down swooped bangs will be very nice. Wear black accesories to set it off.

black dress pants w/red and white shirt, contemporary don't do anything funky. And for the hair, keep it down and put curls in it.
make-up: remember less is more! Wear something natural.

How about something casual? Skinny black pants, pointed flats, and a nice top or something along with a necklace. Ooh, I think you should put a lot of eye liner and black eye shadow! =)

white accessories, black dress, red shoes or red shoes white dress. or if u don't want to wear a dress white skirt red top black flip flops or black jeans white top red accessories. those would all look good.

well if i were you i would like wear a white neckalace and a black dress and mabye some red pantyhose or like some red high heels!
