My friend left me here and went on a work/vacation trip. He left on Nov 25 and is not to be back until Jan 15. I'm upset because he said he'd call me and he hasn't. I don't know the circumstances because I havn't talked to him. I really miss him. He is so much fun. Should I be upset with him? I really don't want to, I miss him. How should I handle it when he comes back?

I would give him the benefit of the doubt and let him explain when you DO talk to him. This happened with an ex-boyfriend of mine. I said I would call and there were problems left and right...my cell phone wouldn't work because there weren't any nearby towers, I didn't get out of daily conferences until late and didn't want to wake him (on a land line) and I knew if I didn't talk long enough to him, he would think he wasn't important enough to me. It also showed he didn't trust me enough.
So wait and listen. AND let him know that he didn't call when he said he would...he hopefully will feel a little guilty.
