I am married and so is this guy at work. Today, he asked me, "If we were not married, would you go out with me?" Is this a hypothetical question, or was he trying to ask me out?

By the way, I really do love my husband and am happy. But this guy knows that my husband is not going to be around for a little while.

He is asking you to break your marriage vows. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Walk do not run to the nearest exit as you don't need the complications at home or at work.

Something tells me that the two of you are flirting in the office, which is being misinterpreted as being interested in having an office romance.

Tread carefully.

Sounds like he wants to get in your pants. Unless you are ready to deal with that, just ignore him.
