At first glance, you made some good points, then upon taking a second look i have to disagree with just about everything you said. Lets start at the beginning, "hes carried his team the last couple of years." Carried them where? to the playoffs once by himself, and not to a championship, even with Shaq. "He helped Shaq win 3 titles." Exactly, he HELPED SHAQ win 3 titles, it was Shaq's team, no questions asked, he was Scottie Pippen. 'Lakers have the 4th best record in the league this yr." True, but Dirk and the Mavs and Nash and the Suns have better records, and their teams are contenders for a championship. "Who was Kwame Brown before he came to LA?" Nobody, and who is Kwame Brown now?...nobody. Sorry man, Kobe is a good player, everything just says he's not mvp. He wins championships he's the #2 star, he's the #1 man, and he loses in the 1st round. MJ didn't win mvp when he scored 38pts a game remember?

Kobe should have no more than 1 MVP title right now. I'm a Kobe fan, but more-so a Laker fan. There is only 1 season that you can honestly look back on and say "Kobe could/should be MVP this season" and that was the 2005-06 season. Nash definitely deserved his first MVP. Before that, Shaq and Kobe being on the same team sort of hurt their chances for the individual accolade.
Also, the MVP doesn't go to the best player. It goes to the player who is deemed to be most valuable to his team. If it went to the best player, Shaq would have won it a few times and Kobe would have won the last couple. Nash may or may not have been the MVP last year, but even Suns fans would say that Kobe is the better basketball player.

He hasn't won the MVP Award because in order to win that award you have to be the most valuable player, in short the best player in the league. Kobe Bryant isn't the best player in the league therefore he's not gonna get it.
Steve Nash, who brought the Suns up from nothing to the best team in the league is worthy of that award.
Shaq, who brought the Lakers up from nothing was worthy of that award.
Allen Iverson, who brought the Sixers to the NBA championship was worthy of that award.
So far, Kobe Bryant hasn't done nearly as much as the players I listed above. Has he brought the Lakers to the Championship? Has he brought the Lakers anywhere near close to the Championship? Of course not so stop giving him so much credit.
In short: KOBE'S NOT THE BEST PLAYER SO HE'S NOT GOING TO GET THE BEST PLAYER AWARD

Yes, Kobe is a MVP caliber player but there are a few guys out there producing more. His overall stats are not quite as good as some other players right now.
And for the record. Shaq helped him with 3 titles.

Oh because the MVP award is now given to the players with no credibility. Why not give the MVP to Danny Ferry instead of Steve Nash

I do not like Kobe, but he is the best one on one player in the game.
He scored 81 points? That is all I have to say.

ok great points, but just look at him play. all he does in practice probably is just shoot. yeah, he is probably the best guy in the world in making shots, but just notice how he doesnt pass. he hogs the ball basically the whole game. he rarely passes. the reason why he gets all attention is cuz he can make good shots, but not good passes. btw, jordan farmar will get r.o.t.y. just cuz he came from UCLA!!!
