I'm 17 and wondering why I don't have nipples. I mean I have the brown part of the nipple, but there is no bump in the middle of it. Sorry if I sound really dumb, but I'm really curious. When are my nipples going to develop?

i'm 22 and mine are small and flat like men's too, though they would get a bit pointy when it's chilly. my doctors have never said they are not normal. the only problem is that if in the future i need to breast feed my baby it'll be kind of difficult. but this is nothing bad to my own health.

but my bf said my nipples are cool because they look so differently from others'. it's also convenient when i wear thin tee with no bra inside. well, it's not bad.

Im not sure, but you could have what is called an inverted nipple. You do have "middle part" but it doesn't pop out like other nipples. It really is nothing to worry about unless there is just all the colored part that surrounds it.

If your uncertain check the web or go to your doctor.

They should have developed by now. Are you fully developed in other areas? I mean, by that, do you have your period, pubic hair, etc. If not, you may just be developing a little later than others. There is no problem in that. However if you are fully developed in other areas, I would check on this with your doctor.

Don't worry about it, just wait and see what the doctor has to say.

You probably have flat nipples.... I do. They aren't like most nipples... mine don't easily get hard and perky when cold or stimulated. And now that I've had a bay.... I found breastfeeding very painful and difficult. (When and if you have a baby, I'd recommend talking to a lactation consultant while you're pregnant)

If anyone replies that you are dumb or stupid, shame on them. If anyone gives you a flippant answer, shame on them also! Some girls just don't develop as fast as others. Do not worry, you'll get them in time. In fact, you might even get better ones than those you are now envious of.

I have been with some women that have inverted nipples. It is common, and will not effect breastfeeding. I always thought they weren't turned on.

Try maybe next year.......If not then......You were not ment to have them. Or try going out in the cold without your shirt and see if they get hard then you will know you have nipples.
