Your discharge will change over time for different reason, example hormone changes, stress, break through bleeding, etc.
Brown color indicates old blood. Usually white clumpier discharge does indicate a yeast infection but it usually accompanied by being red and inflammed with a horrible itch.
It could just be white discharge with old blood. Usually when you have breakthrough bleeding it usually occurs mid-cycle or the week before your period. If you do it again next month, then it may be a hormone inbalance. Keep an eye on it, unless it is bothersome then go see your gyno for vaginal symptoms.

It sounds as if it could be an infection. Could you have possibly left a tampon in from last time? If this continues throughout your period, I would recommend that you see a doctor. Better safe than sorry. To answer your question, no I have never had that happen.
Good luck and get that taken care of.

You usually have brown mucousy discharge when your period is winding down. The white bits could be a yeast infection.
You should have a pap to check things out.
Hope it helps.
