there are 3 differences dv2000t .../... dv2000z

CPU: Intel (Celeron, Core Solo, Core Duo, Core 2 Duo) / AMD (Sempron, Turion64, Turion 64 X2)
Graphics card: GMA 950 or Nvidia Go 7400 / Nvidia Go 6150
Wireless: decent b/g or Intel Pro wireless / decent b/g or a/b/g

if you customize it yourself you have the opportunity to choose the better parts for the dv2000t
Core 2 Duo, Nvidia Go 7400 and Intel Pro wireless are superiour than what you can get for the dv2000z.

The dv2000z has a 64-bit AMD Turion, while the t has an intel Duo Core. Laptop Magazine found the t performed better and had longer battery life for only a few dollars more.
