I remember my first gift from my husband was a candle that had a charm in it which would come out after the candle melted. It was an inexpensive way to show he was thoughtful.
It doesn't matter what the gesture is, it matters what the thought behind it is.
Have fun this Valentine's day.. and remember, don't spend too much money if any at all. The day is about love, not gifts ---- and though love is a bit heavy a word perhaps at this stage for you, the thought of how you feel towards her could easily be shown in a poem or a handmade card and a simple rose.

An awesome necklace that is as unique as she is. And if her ears are pierced and you happen to have some money left over, matching earrings aren't a bad choice. Or if you're looking for something less pricey, a sweet poem from the heart (or just a meaningful text message) is a great idea.

You may be a bit young for a girlfriend but at least your heart is in the right place for wanting to get her something. I'd say a box of candy and a single rose is sweet. Don't go for jewelry at your age, it is a bit too serious.

Well, as a twelve year old girl myself, maybe the tradition chocalates. It depends on what she likes. You should pay attention to her for a little while. But she may like it if you spent the day with her too! A card and chocalate, or a CD.
Hope this helped! ^_^

Give her something a adult would receive. She'll love it or... You can take her out on a actual date. I'm not saying "lets watch a movie at my house together, lets call it a date" but have your parents drive the two of you somewhere safe where you two can have a nice dinner or something together. Trust me, it would be better then any material possession.

Give her a peck on the cheek and tell her how pretty she is that day. She'll remember you forever! Tell her that you're so happy that you could share Valentine's Day with her. Her heart will melt!

depending on how long you have been dating. If it's been a long time.. then a dozen roses, the color of her choice, and a card letting her know you are thinking of her. If it hasn't been long, I would get her a nice box of chocolate, and rent a movie or something for you to sit and watch together... but your 12, so keep your hands to yourself, lol.

A 12 year old is too young to have a full on girlfriend...a crush, yes, but not a girlfriend.
