Pizza Patrón, a Texas-based chain with eight locations in the Valley, says its two-month Pizza for Pesos program will allow customers to purchase pizza with Mexican currency.

Pizza Patrón spokesman Norberto Flores said the promotion was really more about profits than politics.

It's a pathetic ploy to make money. If you are hear you should speak English and pay American. They will just lose customers. It is annoying that companies are using Spanish and English on their products. I don't want to learn Spanish or hear it when I make a phone call and get a prompt. Almost everyone is welcome here and that is fine, but we don't need to accomodate anyone, they should learn to live by our rules and deal with our language, not the other way around.

I think that it is smart... we have a lot of illegal immigrants here and they have pesos. At least the pizza place is making money! It isnt their fault that the immigrants are here, so why not make money?
