wipe properly after using the bathroom - front to back motion. wash it often (everyday) with plain water (no soap) and dry it very well after washing. wear clean dry underwear. soap can sometimes "kill" the good bacteria and cause you to get yeast infections.

My God you human beings kill me! The pubic section constantly smells sturdy except there is an infection or you have been tenting without bathe now and then. Wash very well with soap and water. You can use an antibacterial soap, but not daily. Use a milder body soap in between.
You can apply a little absorbent powder, like talc, to your groin, upper pubic area, tops of your inner thighs, to help absorb perspiration.
Wipe well after peeing, front to back. :)

Wash your cooch with soap!!!! If you do not use soap it will smell like FUNK!! Forget the weirdos that are telling you not to douche or use soap. Though douching too often is not good using it every once in awhile will make you feel cleaner. Use soap daily!!!!! But, rinse thoroughly!!

pubic area should smell like pubic area, not like a citrus orchard or a perfume factory. natural body odor is good enough for me
