What you like.PRS is an improved imitation of the tone of a Les Paul that has very much come into it's own.Try them all out and find something that you like.

I have both a Strat and a Les Paul.I like them both for different reasons.I don't own a PRS,but I am familiar with them and my opinion is that none of these is the "best".They are all great guitars, but "best" is personal choice, depending on your musical influence, style and tastes.Stevie Ray Vaughan or Jimi Hendrix wouldn't have been the same playing anything other than a Fender.I could go on about the other brands, but I think you get the idea.

Like said before, it depends on the style of music, the sound that appeals to you, the feel of the neck in your hand, and how much you can afford. I like them all, but feel that some models are overpriced. I had good luck with my American made Fender.
Go to some music stores and try them all, talk to musicians, and make sure the particular guitar you are about to buy has good intonation and will play in tune all up and down the neck. Some guitarists or experienced repair shops can explain that and check it for you.

i don't think there is one.

all depend on what sound your after i spose. think of it this way fender very clean signle coil sound, probubly the cleanest. for a very rich loud warm tone gibson. also gibson have a rough slightly overdriven sound because of the humbuckers they use. also the wood that the guitars or basses are made form.

oh and warlock do have some nice tones too =D

Hard to choose; I've played several of each, except for a PRS.

Fenders and Gibsons have their trademark sounds, although one can certainly customize either one to their liking.

I like a nice fat Humbucker sound, and there's also nothing quite like the out-of-phase sounds from a Strat.

Define "best" for yourself. Every guitar sounds TOTALLY different in someone else's hands. It's not all about the wood, the pickups, or the craftsmanship of the instrument that makes it "the best". It's about YOU... The guitarist that makes that guitar sound "the best".
