it has windows xp, but no matter how hard i try(looking in the settings)i cant find a detialed icon. is there a softwar site that has it or one that is as detialed for my computer(Windows xp)???

Within the 'Power Options Properties' panel tick the box within Advanced that is labeled 'Always show icon on the task bar' otherwise it will only display while you are on battery power. It is under 'Advanced' and not under 'Advanced Settings'. You can reach the 'Power Options Properties' by selecting 'Control Panel' on the start menu and then selecting 'Power Options'. By default the battery icon only appears while you are on battery power.

well i don't know of a program or anything but sometimes the desktop tray hides icons try clicking on the arrow in the bottom right of your desktop on the strart bar. if it isn't there check in control panel under startup bar
