Want to be more outgoing and spontaneous?

I am somewhat shy--but not at home. i have several close friends who i considered my best friends until i recently found out that they have a TON of parties they dont invite me to. i want to try to make new friends but whenever i start talking i either have no idea what to talk about other than school or i make up lies to sound interesting. its like i have nothing to talk about. at home, im the complete opposite. my parents always yell at me because i never stop talking.

You can talk about the music you like, the movies you have seen, you can start talk about "nothing" = like start been goofy and talking about non sence... I am very outgoing and very very spontaneous.
Another thing, don't change because of other people, you will feel bad after all. And believe me, there are people who like you for the way you are...

A lot of it stems from worrying about what people think.Stop trying to make conversation and just let conversation happen it works much better this way
