I'm new to online freelancing, but I think I know enough to create this webpage. My question is how much time will it take on average and how much should I charge the client?

Perhaps I should have clarified. The client doesn't want to use prepackaged templates or free templates. I'll be creating an original template and page for them using css code.

If the work done can't be done easily through a template service (of which there are dozens), then a fair price would be relative to time, probably $10 an hour.

If it can be done easily through a template service, then ethically, you probably shouldn't charge. But my capitalist mine says that if they are too lazy to look for a cheap option, why not be the easy option for your customer... so, I'd say the same rate.

since a myspace layout can be attained for free on tons of different sites, and also free generators used I can't imagine someone paying anyone for a page. If you are getting into online freelancing you need to learn more than "enough to create a myspace page" Most kids can do it. I do them for friends all the time. It depends on what this person wants thoughm do they want you to customize a graphic to use on their page etc. I still can't see someoene paying for a myspace page layout.
