making good signal with wireless adapter?

is there a way i can make good signal for a NETGEAR wireless adapter.

Move it closer to the router, make sure there's a clear line of sight instead of intervening barriers, no other 2.4 GHz devices in the way on same channel (other routers, cordless phones, microwave ovens).

You should already have good signal if your in your own home..
