Is there some one you know who continues to be an attention seeker, and if they do not get the attention they crave then all hell is to pay.....just asking how would you deal with some one like this? because i have one friend who constantly does this, and i and other friends have brought it to her attention, and the penny still has not dropped i don't want to hurt their feelings? what would you suggest?

Ignore her completly. You do it long enough, she might stop. This is almost like a little kid who will hold his breath until he turns blue. Call his bluff, and he won't do it any more.

Oh god! I have a flatmate like that! If we were to say anything she would just get more upset and make our lives hell for the week. She doesn't stop talking - always about herself, she is over sensitive and has a major jeakous streak and god knows how many more issues.

Some people just need more attention than others. It can be annoying, but that may just be her personality. Maybe you could just hang around her less often.

send her an anonymous note? some people just want to help i guess but they must realize its not all about them.
my dad was that way. no matter what was happening around him he made everything about himself. it was very aggravating.
i don't think he realized it until he was actually dieing.
good luck.
