Rumor was breastfeeding helped lose the weight quicker but I seem to have gained weight instead of losing it. Walking is good. I also found drinking grapefruit juice helps alittle.

I am breast feeding as well, and my son is about 2.5 months old right now. I noticed over the holidays that I ate alot and still managed to lose 4.5 pounds without exercise. You really aren't supposed to go below 1800 calories when breastfeeding. Just try working out. I get use a treadmill and if you like aerobic type exercise, I would recommend Taebo...any tape will burn a ton of calories and tone you up. I recently started back doing the Taebo Bootcamp tapes and already notice some inches lost and my milk supply is still flowing!

I totally understand, I too am breastfeeding...
If you haven't already, switch to skim milk, light margarine (I can't belive it's not butter spray is pretty good for toast, veggies, etc!), Pay close attention to portion sizes. Before meals, I drink a big glass of water. I load up on fruits and veggies and eat those first! That way, when I get to the main course I'm not starving and do not eat as many calories!

Try to snack during the day to curb your appitite. Fat free yogurt is a great choice.

Try to work out every day. I know it can be hard with a baby, but if you get in the habit, it becomes easier!

it is way to early to worry about it after about 6 months you will start losing a lot of wieght and your breast feeding too if you were already small b4 you got pregnant youll more than likey lose it all I gained 75 lbs with my 7lb 5 oz baby, breast feed for a week n half and I weighed what i weighed b4 I got pregnant by the time I was 6 months post-partum. so let me now if your still insecure with your weight after 6 months then thank about dieting again but right now your little ones need all those antibodies they get from breast feeding especially during these cold months when they are more prone to viruses.

First, ask your doctor or your health nurse. They're the experts. But couldn't you just get more exercise? I think I remember being told that the baby gets first crack at all the nutrients that your body takes in, so as long as you make sure you're eating adequate quantities of healthy food instead of junk, and you're drinking enough milk for both of you, then your baby will be healthy. And don't compare yourself to the Gwyneths and the Angelinas of Hollywood, because the real world doesn't care if you lost your baby weight in two months or two years. That baby loves you just the way you are.

I wouldn't worry much if I were you. My baby is 3 mths old and I'm fully breastfeeding him. I eat whatever I feel like and jog twice-thrice a week. I haven't lost much weight since delivery and don't intend to cut off any meals yet. I think babies under 6mths will take in all the nutrients from breastfeeding and I'm sure you'll lose most of your weight by then. All the best.

I lost weight from breast feeding. I was also walking with them and taking naps when I could. But I only took in healthy foods.

The eliptical is awesome too!!!!

Weight Watchers has a great menu for nursing mothers, and you can eat a TON of food.....Also, the longer you nurse, the more calories you will burn.Make sure you are taking a multivitamin and drink LOTS of water.
Remember that the weight around your middle (like over your butt) is made for milk production.

Make sure your meals are healthy and then strap baby in a front pack carrier or sling and go for a walk. If carrying her is too much for you (though better for weight loss) then strap her in the stroller and walk every day.

My wife swam once a day, it made her very tired, so she used to have and afternoon nap with baby as well.
