ok... i had my friend use his computer to put songs on my ipod for me because i wasnt sure what i was doing. is there a way to put more songs on it using my computer with out having the whole play list? or am i going to have to start all over and put all the songs on my computer?

no there is an option to set everything to "manual" that allows you to add or delete your playlists etc yourself!
when you plug in the ipod.. click on the ipod icon and you should find a settings option... select manual.. good luck

Yes you can but....

it will solve a lot problems for you in the long run trust me I've been there. If you want to get tunes from another computer that does not have exactly the same tunes in itunes on each computer, whichever tunes that are not in that itunes, will be deleted from your ipod whether you have it on manual or not.

If you plug your i pod in without the whole playlist then it Will update your i pod with just the songs on your computer.
