My doctor told me that jacuzzi's were off limits. Bath water should only be 100 degrees max. Jacuzzi's are usally 120 degrees and above.

when I was 8 months pregnant, my back hurt so much, so i would sit in a jucuzzi sometimes. I didn't have any problems.
so, I guess it depends on whether or not your sister's pregnancy is high risk. If it is, then don't risk it.
{i've also known some women who were cleared by their dr.'s to continue riding their horses while pregnant...and I think that riding horses pregnant is more risky than sitting in a jucuzzi}
*EDIT
and i would like to point out to all those people writing that a pregnant woman's body temperature should Never get above 100 degrees, that you ALL are bloody Ignorant. What the hell happens if the woman has a fever? Having a fever will raise your body temperature...Are you going to loose your baby if you have a cold and a fever of 101? Hell no! Come one, think before you write.

Her body temperature cannot, under any circumstances, hit any higher than 100 degrees. It shouldn't go any higher than norm, which is 98. And having the jets on would be a huge problem.
I would say definitely no. Sit on the edge, dangle your feet in, but don't take any risk of overheating your baby.

You shouldn't get in a Jacuzzi while pregnant because of over heating to the body. Also the strong chemical smells.

As long as its not too hot because babies love water. Like they said 120 degrees or even 100 is too hot. The baby cant handle.

It is best if she just sits on the edge and puts her feet in. She can't let her belly/core body temperature get too high or it can do damage. If she just sits on the edge and takes a quick dip in and out...she would be fine.

Absolutely no hot tubs! Tell her just to sick her feet in. What happens is when she starts to heat up, so does her blood pressure, it gets too high, she can cause alot of damage to herself and baby.
