Dear parents:

I am writing today to inform you that the creators of RuneScape, JaGEx Ltd, it's staff, moderators and player moderators, wholeheartedly support internet trolls (people whose only function on the internet is to irritate others and cause chaos), offensive language, cheating, unfriendly gameplay, bad behaviour and dishonesty. If you're as concerned about this as I am please send a letter to your local censorship board. JaGEx allows YOUR children to play a game where abusive behavior, dirty words and discouraging phrases are commonplace, and anyone attempting to change this is shunned and warned not to speak out. Is this the kind of game you want your child to play?

Instead of bitching about the website that allows YOUR children to see that nasty stuff (which may or may not exist on that site), why do YOU ALLOW your children to see that stuff. Instead of accusing of others of allowing your children to be corrupted, look in the mirror. It's your job as a parent.

Runescape is a game where people and children are talking together. You may not even know if you are talking to an adult because some children may think they are kids just by saying "I'm 14 and I live in New York." That is a lie...but I can tell you this that if your children have friends who play this game then they can play with their friends. It's best that your child plays together with friends and not by adding people that they don't know. Your child could play the game and follow the rules and not adding people that they don't know or are new players. Just so your children play with their friends they'll be safe.

I am ashamed to answer this question. I LOVE runescape. it is the best ever. and i have to tell you that they block out all foul language in the game. it is very safe. there is no dishonesty, or cheating or any of that other stuff u listed. i am outraged at you. i bet you are one of those cranky parents always yelling at your kids. well im tellin you right now that you are mentally wrong. in every way.

This debate has been going on forever. Morals and values are of great concern. Play is to prepare one for life. Parents have always woried about influeneces by peers, games, music, TV etc etc this is no different. It is the same as everything Good versus evil God versus Satan. Everything is either of God or of Satan.
