Please don't feed your goldfish any sort of powdered processed human food, it will dirty/poison the water. Feed them things you would put in a green salad, stay away from to much lettuce no calories or nutrience. Carrots and corn are WAY hard.

Zuccini
Cumcumber
Peas
Spinach leaves
Cooked carrots

That's to start. If you have a food processor you can cook peas, carrots, spinach and rice. Purree it until SMOOTH, put in on a baking sheet in a slow oven until it dehydrates completely and break into SMALL pieces.

These are things you should feed your goldfish regularly anyway.

First of all, my research suggests that crackers/bread are BAD FOR THE FISH - It's your decision as to whether the source (quoted) is credible but if they were my fish I wouldn't want to risk it.

The website claims: "I wouldn't use crackers or bread that actually swells in there stomach too. I have been using Roman lettuce for them to snack on and they love it. Get a lettuce clip from a pet store and put a leaf of the roman lettuce on the clip and let them nibble on it all day till its mostly gone or has wilted. My babies just love to nibble on it. You also can give the dried shrimp, brime shrimp, peas (non salted) and corn. Goldfish will eat just about anything but some things will get them sick so I always found it good to check with the pet stores or ask someone like my self or find some books on goldfish thats how I found out about the lettuce."

There's a list here of fresh food that can be given as treats in small quantities:

But your goldfish should be fine for as long as a couple of days without food.

Actually, most experienced fishkeepers, myself included, let our fish fast for a day at least once a week. They will be perfectly fine for a few days, and occasional fasting helps prevent cloudy water/undesirable bacteria blooms, ammonia spikes, and other nasty side effects of overfeeding.
However, if you REALLY want to feed your fish, don't go with bread crumbs or crackers. They will do nothing for your fish. You can feed them many types of fresh or frozen veggies, earthworms if you clean them well, mosquito larvae from any ponds or standing water you might have, or you might even try fruit flies.
Good luck!

They can go a week with out eating they won't starve until you get to the petstore but if you must feed them here's my personal table scrap menu...
Washed broccoli, banana, orange, cucmber, leaf spinach, shrimp, canned or fresh salmon (any fish edible for people), crab (or immiatation), peas out of the skin, blanched carrot, 100% whole wheat bread,
Basically any clean healthy food, they are omnivours like us, and can eat a lot of different stuff.

If you have lettuce or peas, or zucchini even, you could see if they would eat them. It's not a bad idea to go ahead and let them eat that stuff every once in a while anyways. They also love duckweed if you don't mind it growing in your aquarium.

If you use any of those veggies, blanch them in boiling water before you feed them to the fish. It helps to soften them.

My Jack Dempseys and goldfish love frozen peas...They don't much care for them thawed though. I just think they're picky.

goldfish can easily survive for 2 days without anything, so rather than foul the water, I would just wait until I could get to the store

Got corn meal? water some down to make a ball and drop it in.
White bread? the same.

Not very nutritious but they'll eat it.
try some chopped up earthworms ... if available.

Im not sure if you can give them anything else. But if there is absolutely no way to get food you could try giving very little pieces of bread to them.
