Sometimes an employee is really doing nothing wrong. But they're character might be causing a lack of productivity or performance. Like their depression is making other workers depressed.

Driveing an employee away is legally a safer method of letting them go.

There are several reasons for this,

First, if someone quits it doesn't inpact your unemployement insurance rates. Having a high turnover can be costly for employeers for a lot of reasons this is just one of them.

Second, if someone quits it offers a lot of protection agaisnt wrongful termination suits.

Because its just more hassle.

I wasn't ever fired, or let go from my first job, they just quite giving me hours, after i asked for Thanksgiving off(it was a resturant), i asked for it off in June. And so they basically drove me away.

They later came back to me begging for me to come back, but i never did.

because they don't want to have to pay them unemployment.
