Using price and like space and everything, like wireless, hardrive, memery(etc.), which laptop is better? I have the websites below. First one is a (first of the three columns) Dell Latitude D620 for $899. The second one is a Inspiron 1501 (third of three columns) for $873. Which one is better? Also, Which hardrive is bigger. The 40GB^3 or the 80 GB, Cause I see that the Latitide D620 has a cubed symbol by it.

From the basic specs there, the Inspiron 1501 is the better laptop. One has intel dual core, while the other has AMD turion dual core. I personally like the bang for the buck that you get with AMD. The AMD turion, even single core, is a Vista ready processor. AMD came out with 64 bit processors for laptops before Intel did.

Of course, the final price is going to depend on how you spec it out. The 1501 is showing a 120gig HD on the link you gave, btw, on the third column. It also has a better video card and a lot more RAM installed.

I don't see the weight on the 1501. The D620 is fairly light, but who knows... the power supply often adds a lot to that total.

Anyway, hands down, for basic features, that 1501 is a lot better.

If you want more information, I highly recommend these sites:

notebookforums.com
notebookreview.com

Go to the forums. Read what various users have to say about the laptops. There are some excellent reviews there as well.

the superscript 3 isn't a cubed 3. The 3 points to the note at the bottom of the webpage

"3 For hard drives, GB means 1 billion bytes; actual capacity varies with preloaded material and operating environment and will be less."

The D620 has onlyl 512mb ram but the Inspiron 1501 has 1.5gb ram. The Core 2 Duo is still better than the AMD dual core. The Inspiron has a bigger hard drive (3 times bigger - 120GB).

The D620 has only a CD drive and not a dvd, a dvd/cd combo drive nor a dvd burner. You can customize it but the price is going to go up.

If you're not going to customize the components of any of the laptops then i'd go for the Inspiron 1501.

The little 3 cubic symbol you see refers to this below message on the lattitude website:

3- For hard drives, GB means 1 billion bytes; actual capacity varies with preloaded material and operating environment and will be less.

The 80 bigabyte hard drive will be larger. AMD Turion is not a very good Proccessor(Inspiron) but the 120 gig hard drive and 1 gig memory for ram is good

The Lattitude is the better option(with the intel core 2 duo, very new and sophisticated cpu) it's also vista ready( the new windows soon to be released) The graphics arent so good on the machine, and the inspiron didnt seem to list any either, but in terms of both machines you listed the Lattitude seems the better choice

Dell Latitude D620 is the best, because they put better material in the laptop, and a 80GB, because I am using my commen sense.

The Inspiron would most likely be the best, but not the cheapest. For Dell, it really doesn't matter what model you get because you can customize it before you buy it.

40GB^3 is not cubed it's note 3, putting that to rest, my opinion goes with the Latitude cause it's an industrial grade machine.
