With the shelling out the money comes the added risk of various skin cancers. According to The Skin Cancer Answer book there is no safe tanning bed.
If you want to add a little natural color to your olive skin, eat and drink a lot of carrots in the season of the tan. It will add a bit of an orange glow that with your olive completion will make your skin look naturally tanned.
And it is much safer.
Word of caution. Vitamins A, D, E & K can be overdosed and cause health problems. So if your already taking these, consult a doc before upping your carotene intake. Otherwise, the literature indicates you cannot OD on carrots of carrot juice.
Well, other than turning orange which if you did might make for interesting conversation at the water cooler.
Eat in moderation to learn how much is needed to get the right color.
According to the Ultimate Stress Reducer and Memory Enhancement Guide it also helps with memory and stress.

It does not really matter it is whatever you feel best about. If you like a little color try the salons that do the spray on tans or try the self tanners. These have really improved over the years. Ask an assistant at department store where they have cosmetic counters what they would suggest in self tanners. Also they have body lotions that have self tanner in them that is gradual and come in different colors like light medium and dark. Might want to try these. But like I said it is whatever makes you fell good. Tanning beds and sun are not great because of the skin cancer. Especially more dangerous in fair skinned people. So if I wanted color I would use the artificial tanning like the spraying or self tanners.

It doesn't matter, it's whatever you like. If you wanna risk hurting your skin and getting skin cancer (which is sadly getting very common now days) you can, but I wouldn't go tanning anymore, I would stick with the color your skin is, and in the summer you'll get tanner from the sun. I have pale skin and I love it, because there's no tan lines or anything, and it's not all high maintenance, but that's just my opinion.

Fair. Tan is not cool. Your asking 4 skin cancer in a tanning bed especially. Protect Ur skin or U will be like me. I surfed 4 about 33 years before they had any sort of SPF. I got tan that was cool. Now I've had 11 skin cancers cut off of me & 5 more that need 2 be removed. I hope this helps U.

Tanning quickly ages your skin, therefor pale is more attractive for the long haul. Embrace pale, and dress to emphasize it in very light colored or white wispy clothing.

It depends what kind of sking you naturally have. I would have to see your skin to be able to tell, but if you have for so pale skin stay with the pale, but put lots of lotion on your skin to make yourself glow. But it you have more so olive-ish pale go to a tanning bed and get tanned but remember to moisturize as well or you'll just look weird! Good luck :)

Tanned skin is definitely considered more attractive these days, that's why so many girls and women go to a salon. There are cheaper, more healthy alternatives to UV rays. Like natural tanning (still not the best for your skin) or airbrush tanning, which evens out to be about $20 a week.

no, honey tanning beds might even be more dangerous than the sun! don't risk your health just to look good.
and, personally i like myself on the tan side, but whatever skin colour you are, be happy with it! because if you are confident in your own skin, that is more beautiful than any tanning bed any day!! :)

Embrace your pale skin. You will only look older alot earlier if you continue to tan. Also, you have skin cancer to consider.
I just moved from sunny southern California. There are so many wrinkled looking people there; older but looking alot older than they are.

I lived in Florida for a couple years, and I got to see dozens of women who tanned all the time that looked like wrinkly leather when they are in their 40's and 50's, not to mention skin cancer. stay pale girl
