Mr.rabbit is wearing a watch and knows exactly how many minutes before 5 0'clock it is.Alice, however has not watch and,as they are walking, she asks mr.rabbit what time it is. Mr. rabbit is a clever rabbit who loves number puzzles and therefore, he refuses to give alice a straight answer. Rather, he tells Alice that 40 min. ago it was four times as many minutes past 2 o"clock.Using mr.rabbits clues, help alice figure what time it is now.

2pm to 5 pm = 180 minutes
(180 - 40) divided by 4 = number of minutes before 5 pm
140/4 = 35

That means its 40 + (4*40) minutes past 2, or 40+160= 200 minutes past 2. And 200 minutes is 3 hours and 20 minutes.
So, its (2+3) hours and 20 minutes, or 5:20 now.
