Got a dead laptop, but I'd like to recover the data.
I'm hoping that some kind of PCI card exists.

you don't need a pci card. it goes much cheaper - there are adapter cables for just a few bucks and with them you can hook up a laptop disk the same way as a desktop disk.

I REALLY HATE THAT GUY ABOVE - ALWAYS ALL THE S.HIT WHAT HE BELIEVE HE IS. FUC.K UP FINALLY YOU DAMN IDIOT.

The mall usb hard drives are regular laptop drives and an interface. You can usually take them apart and plug your laptop drive in to access it.

Nobody wants your resume moron.
