Is there a chance to see africa a better place someday?

Africa will be a better place but the rest of the world need to come to the party. The west was happy to come here and steal all our mineral wealth and natural resources to build their economy but now won't help with Africa's. Africa doesn't need financial aid as much as we need free trade agreements which are actually free and fair. It is no point saying here is a billion dollars to build farms and grow exports but we will not let you export to any markets without charging heavy fees which results in all your effort being worthless.

Like most places on this earth, there are pros and cons. There is truly some beautiful natural wildlife that needs to be preserved. And yes, there is a chance to see the poverty diminish, but it will take educating a lot of people both in and out of Africa.

YES! I got the chance to visit Uganda a couple years ago. Some of my group had been there a year before and they were exclaiming about how much improvement they could see just a year later.

There is movement. I loved it there, I want to go back. It's a great place!

Africa is very famous for many beautiful spots, but there are several of them which should be visited by everyone. Africa is extremely famous for its wildlife, national parks, reservations where the nature is preserved. However, the continent is also famous for its cultural variety and of course for its glorious historic sites.

Africa is a nice place for sight seeing.I had been there 10 years ago.The people of Africa need tourist so that they can be rich to improve the quality of life.Every country has it good and bad.We cannot live their way of life so why and what to compare? What they can do ,we cannot.Loneliness, freedom ( No same daily task - Sleep ,wake up,eat, work, eat ,****,work,go home, eat ,sleep ...........the same sequences ) Think about it ,What so good about us? May God Bless You.

Humbly speaking, I believe the problems in Africa started when men began enslaving women. There used to be a healthy balance between both genders. Next men exploited women and children; then they exploited their own land and natural resources. Men pandered off their women, children, land, and natural resources to the highest bidder.

That "bidder" grew wise and rich with the resources from Africa, and in return they enslaved the men of Africa.

I think it is time for balance to be restored, and for Women in Africa to be given their rightful place; restore the Female Deity to the Heavens/Cosmos, the Queen to her Throne, etc.

Hopefully that will restore a better appreciation for children, land, and natural recources. The Bartering System will return, and exploitation will halt. (generally speaking)

Peace

I grew up in Africa and lived there for forty years. Africa got sorted out by the Western colonial powers who took over the entire continent in only 25 years. While the West ruled Africa, it was a place of peace and plenty, with the locals eating well and countries exporting their fantastic mineral and agricultural wealth to the world.

Then the West got hooked on this liberal crap called Cultural Relativism. Cultural Relativism derives from Evolution. Evolution says that we emerged from the primordial slime by accident and for no purpose. So if everything is without reason or purpose, than whatever is right for you is right. So Africans slice off the clitorrises of millions of women every year because it is right for them! 500,000 African women die every year from clitoral circumcision.

But Evolution says that there is no ultimate guide, or reference point of what is right, so if clitoral circumcision is right for you, it's right. That's cultural relativism.

Unless and until the West realizes that there IS a 'right', a standard, a guide, which exists outside of and above cultural relativism, Africa will continue to rot in its own pool of culturally relative poverty, supersition, and filth.

When they called it the dark Continent, they must have meant, not bright with hope,l not uplifting with opportunity. There just isn"t much to build upon. the Europeans that did colonize didn"t seem to leave much that is hopeful behind. But I do not know that for sure. But since there is nothing that the rest of the world needs or wants, Africa is not of much value to others. Sad.
