pride is ok but most go way overboard. for example if I have a ms white america pageant or a united white collge fund already some conclusions come to mind. no one will be truly equal but we can respect the differences we have. sometimes its best to agree to disagree and move on. i think the slavery thing is about played out and as a white middle aged man im gettnig tired of paying continually for something i had nothing to do with.

Your $^*^%$&&@%*) right it is!!!! Way too much emphasis today on what you are. And we all should be proud. The question that should be asked of EVERYONE is WHO they are, not where they came from. But pride in one's heritage is essential. It tells you where you came from, and what your ancestors did to survive. You've got to know where you've been to know where you're going!

of course! why wouldn't you, people are pround of everything these days, even when they shouldn't be, heritage is one of the most founded things to be proud of. noone can argue with your pride, you are what you are, they can't debate that. I don't care if you're black, white, orange, or aquamarine.

There's nothing wrong with having pride in your race. It's when you become so proud of your own race that you begin to hate any other race than your own is when it becomes a problem.

I don't think Americans are allowed to be proud anymore...when you are, people tell you you're racist. So much for that...
