I read it in a book that a girl was stacking sweaters and cords on her bed and I was just wondering....

cords is a shortcut for corduroy.there are pants that are a heavier material, they are really comfortable.they are soft and tend to have a striped "texture".plus when you walk, they make a odd little noise.haha.
