Of course you can get counseling for a shopping addiction. It is a valid condition and there could be underlying causes for it like depression or anxiety.
I know that it can really hurt the marriage. I would suggest couple's therapy so that you can both learn how to deal with this addiction. He needs to learn how to control his spending habits and you need to learn how to best be supportive of him while he is trying to quit his addiction.

Perhaps your husband has an addiction to spending. There is such a thing. Also, I don't know what type of person he is, but excessive spending can also be a symptom of being bipolar. Just a thought. Yes, get him into counseling and go with him. Good luck.

Yes there is counseling for that. Look around until you find a counselor experienced in dealing with these types of issues.

Absolutely. A spending addiction can be very serious just like any other addiction and counseling can help.

Confront him-don't play games. Make sure he knows how serious this is. Be willing to take drastic measures-don't say one thing and do another, that always makes thing worse.
