I Was Wondering If Graphic Cards That Have 128mb,256mb,512mb.etc ram
like if ya got 512mb already and you installed a 512mb graphic card,
will ya ram go up to 1gb? (1024mb)??

No, it will not raise your total RAM, it will only raise your VRAM which is video random access memory. This is used for games, movies, and things like that. For example I have 1 GB of plain RAM, and 256 MB of VRAM. It doesn't mean that I have 1260 MB of RAM for all things.

They can raise it some. The ram on the video card doesn't get added to the computer ram, but if you had built in video and disable it after you switch to the card, the computer ram that was assigned to the built in video will be freed up for software use, and Windows will report increased ram.

Nope. The RAM on a graphics card is used only by the video card. The "system" RAM is accessed by the programs you are running.
