when being service at a fast food place where they serve you over the counter. Im never sure wheather to tip or not to tip cause they get pay by the hour and they are not taking my order from the table or seating me. And if one tips them who get the tip? When you might have about three to four people working there? I know you don't tip the owner of the shop.

I think that a "tip" jar is ridiculous! The best is the tip jar a Caribou Coffee drive through Ha Ha Ha Ha!! Like they went out of there way to help me out. Did they wash my windshield, check the air pressure in my tires? No, they charged me extra for a drip more of whip cream. Yeah I'll give ya a tip....Go above and beyond and maybe I'll give you a tip.

I should put one on the window of my car when I pull up and if they tip me I'll smile. If not, I'll be the customer from %$&#.

Well I dont tip because must of the time they are not able to except the money. When I was a t the mall there was a little fast food place and when I paid I had like a dollar in coins left and I tried to give it to the server and the person was like no that they dont except tip. Thats why I never gave tip.

Other than letting them keep the minimal change out of laziness, I generally do NOT tip counter people. If I am a regular and the service is excellent, I may be inclined to tip at Christmas to the ones that have serviced me throughout the year

I do not tip at fast food places... I do, however, tip at the
Sonic Drive-In restaurants, because a server comes out to the car... I don't do the standard 15% tip with them, though... I might give them the money and tell them to keep the change.

have you ever notice at a coffee shop or sandwich place , the kids will place a bucket that reads TIPS,

this is the only place where i might throw a tip , other wise i will not tip at all, in a fast food restaurant.

and if i do tip its because they're friendly

I don't tip unless I am being served. I tip at sit down restaurants, pizza delivery, etc. But no fast food.

You don't tip at a fast food place. Only at sit down restaurants.

I don't tip at fast food places with one exception. I will generally tip a buck or two at a sub shop where my sandwich is made to my specifics and if they are friendly and courteous.

No you do not tip them. They are not serving you technically, they are just putting the food in a bag or on a tray, when you eat at a sit down restaraunt is when you tip.

I work in fast food and we do not take tips nor do we expect them. Fast food is much easier work than a regular restaurant.
